Solstice blessings, friends! Monday December 21st marks both the Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere and the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn– the closest Great Conjunction since 1623! While I will leave the astrology to the pros (hint hint, stay tuned for an upcoming Tending the Hedge post!), I will say that the Winter Solstice is a magical time of year. The darkest day of the year, it is a time to go inward and to listen to the message of the sleeping earth, and to remember that just as soon as it has occurred, we are once again moving forward into the light.
O, wind. If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?
