Happy new moon in Gemini, friends. Following the chaotic energy of eclipse season and with Mercury still in retrograde, I am hopeful that this new moon (on May 30th at 7:30 am eastern) brings us all a breath of fresh air. My heart has been so heavy, in light of all that is going on in the world, and it can feel a bit absurd to talk about soaps and salves these days, but I sincerely hope that the shop may serve as a bright space in troubling times.

And indeed, the shop has reopened for the year! I am so thankful for everyone who came out for our reopening weekend and made it such a lovely experience. I so appreciate the connections I’ve made with folks over the past few years, and it’s a specific type of joy to see people resonate with your work.

There are some fun new things in the works at the witchery, including the first of our new First Friday series on June 3rd, and two special events later in the month— River Pride and a fundraiser for our local library!— you won’t want to miss. And for our long-distance friends, there are still ways you can support— I’m still offering ongoing fundraisers for Northeast Farmers of Color Land Trustthe National Network for Abortion Funds, and our local SPCA, and I look forward to announcing other opportunities to give back as the summer progresses.

Finally, if you’ve read this far, thank you. You’re a gem. Also: I’m including links to Everytown for Gun Saftey where folks may contact their elected officials and encourage them to pass gun safety legislation. Lend your voice, friends!

So until next time, stay safe & stay magic—
